| The
Georgia District of ESA,
directed by Jeff & Tara Mosley, currently has around
200 members and hosts many events on Tybee Island throughout
the year including district contests, parties, & fund
raising events. The ESA's Georgia District is currently
the only ESA representation in the State that has sent
competitors to the US Surfing Championships for the last
five consecutive years (note Ryan Hruda's 7th place in
the 2000 US Championships). It has also helped to feed
the production of a nationally recognized champion (Roy
Overstreet, 1998 US National Champion), and as well has
fostered development of people that have gone on to work
in national surf magazines (Tim Saunders - Eastern Surf
Magazine), not to mention numerous individuals that are
productive working members of our community - whether
it be people that apply the craft in the building trades,
people that own their own businesses, those that work
in the high tech or engineering sectors, as well as those
that teach school to our community's children within Chatham
County. |

Through countless (read as thousands) of hours, Directors Jeff
& Tara Mosley and a group of volunteers not only genorously
donate their time, but also their leadership skills to organize
a series of surfing competitions for water sport enthusiasts
of all ages and experience throughout the entire year!!! Both
Jeff and Tara have also aided other ESA Districts to organize
surfing events and ensure that the competitions run smoothly. Now
in the their seventh year as ESA Georiga District Directors,
we are incredibly fortunate to be the recipients of all their
time and dedication.
